 Guadeloupe is located in the Northern Hemisphere at 16° of latitude and 61° of longitude West between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
Tucked between Dominica to the South and Antigua to the North, Guadeloupe is an archipelago full of diversity. It is the largest of the Lesser Antilles (more than1700 sq Km). It’s made of 6 islands, two of which form the big island in a shape of a butterfly (Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre). And there’s Marie-Galante also known as "The Isle of a 100 windmills", the largest of the Guadeloupe dependency islands...

 The island’s lush-green area is part of the Guadeloupe National Park, a
17300 hectare-wide forest and a dazzling sanctuary to various species.
 The forest is home to 300 varieties of plants, shrubs and vines that
crawl over every tree. The island boasts close to 100 species of wild
orchids as well.
The local wildlife is relatively harmless. The racoons which are always
showing a friendly grin were proclaimed the Emblem of the National Park.
There are swarms of birds notably the amazing humming-bird but also the
unique sedentary Black Woodpecker of the West Indies : The Guadeloupe
Black Woodpecker (Melanerpes lherminieri, indigenous to the island).

 Un documentaire de 36 minutes pour ne pas oublier certains métiers et savoir-faire traditionnels en voie de perdition !
Nombreux sont ceux qui se battent pour la protection et la sauvegarde du patrimoine Guadeloupéen! NATURE EXPERIENCE à son tour veut apporter une pierre à l’édifice en mettant en avant les traditions d’antan dans un court-métrage de 35 minutes intitulé « VOYAGE VERS LA TRADITION », avec le concours de l’association ZANDOLI ANBA FÈY (ZAF), constituée par une dizaine de stagiaires issus de la formation Animateurs Loisirs Tourisme (ALT 2004) organisée par le même organisme précité.
 Ce court-métrage scénarisé, présenté sur un support DVD, a un objectif à la fois pédagogique et éco-touristique. C’est un outil de promotion et de développement durable de la Guadeloupe profonde (et, par extension, de toute la Caraïbe), à travers son savoir-faire, son savoir être, et plus simplement, son patrimoine humain.
